Do You Need Flea Drops Like Frontline, Advantage Or K-9 Advantix For Dogs?

There are a lot of good reasons to buy a high quality flea control product such as Frontline, Advantage or K-9 Advantix for dogs.

Not only are fleas and ticks itchy and uncomfortable for your dog when they bite, but these icky little parasites can spread to other pets and people, too. Plus, they carry dangerous diseases like Lyme disease or Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.

To avoid fleas and ticks, you can take a number of logical and natural preventative measures such as laundering your dog’s bedding on a regular basis, vacuuming your house with a flea collar in the catch-bag, and keeping your yard free from debris and long grass which may provide flea and tick shelter and breeding grounds.

That’s what I did with Kera, my inside-only Goldador, while I lived in North Carolina.

Unfortunately, my measures were still not enough and she ended up getting fleas anyway.

That’s why I decided to look into using a safe and effective flea killer. K-9 Advantix for dogs is canine-specific and made by the same manufacturer as canine Advantage, Bayer. Frontline pet meds have a different active ingredient but is still effective from what I have read.

I wanted something that would get rid of the fleas quickly, so I wouldn’t have to be nervous sitting near Kera on the couch, but would also be safe, so I wouldn’t have to worry about her getting sick, or my getting poisoned from touching her or something.

Kera’s health was of extra importance because, as a guide-dog puppy in training, they require us puppy owners to approve all the dog’s medication with our vet.

The vet didn’t have a problem with K-9 Advantix for dogs, or any of the other medications we were looking at.

We decided to move forward with a name brand flea and tick product so we could read product reviews and make sure we were getting a good solution at a good price.

I was glad we did because before I had been killing Kera’s fleas by hand (actually trying to catch them and put them in a jar of alcohol and, yes, that was very difficult! Flea drops work much better!

Are Systemic Enzymes Effective in the Treatment of Autoimmune Diseases

The human immune system is designed to repel invaders, the viruses, bacteria, fungi and other germs that we take in every day from our surroundings. It does a pretty good job and usually we are quite unaware of the battles the frontline troops of this protective system wage among our cells, preventing infection and even tumor development.

Today, we live in a very polluted environment and many of the pollutants are not part of nature, they are man-made chemicals that we absorb from the air we breathe, the water we drink and many of the foods we eat.

The worst result of some of these pollutants is that they cause the body to attack itself. The efficient T1 helper cells and T2 helper cells, that normally attack and remove the invading elements that cause disease, turn on healthy tissue and damage it. This results in illness, in such conditions as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, cancers, arthritis, ulcerative colitis, Crohns.

Since auto-immune conditions were discovered, a great deal of research has been carried out and conditions that were a mystery to doctors and physiologists a few decades ago have now been found to be caused by this misdirected activity. Current opinion is that they are the result of a combination of factors: genetic predisposition – which might never be triggered without environmental factors and, possibly, pathogens.

Which conditions develop may depend the details of an individual’s environment, including where one lives, the industry one works in, experiences such as injuries, plus individual biochemistry.

While no cures for autoimmune diseases have been discovered yet, there are many therapies that reduce their effects and allow sufferers to live happy, productive lives.

Catching a Pompano Dolphin Fish

Pompano dolphin fish is a species usually found in tropical or subtropical waters. Its Latin name is ‘Coryphaena equiselis’ and generally have a lifespan of 3 to 4 years. Other common names of are: Blue dolphin, small dolphin, mahi-mahi, little dolphin, or simply dolphin fish.

Dolphin fish is simply grouped into two species: The Dolphin-fish or mahi-mahi (Coryphaena hippurus) and the (Coryphaena equiselis). Among the two species, the is more of oceanic species. The pompano dolphins are usually found at the coast of North Carolina, Bermuda, Florida, the Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico. If we talk about the Pacific region they range from Peru to Oregon. The pompano dolphin is rarely caught in coastal areas and the ideal temperature for these dolphins is less than 75° at the surface. These dolphins are usually active in spring and late summer; this is the best time to catch these dolphins.

Unlike dolphin, the pompano dolphin has more streamlined snouts. However, the color of the body is almost the same. It has a long dorsal fin that is extended along the length of its body to the deeply forked caudal fin.

Female spawn throughout spring and summer. They get mature sexually at 9 to 12 inches in length and can grow to 20 to 30 inches with weight around 5 pounds. The pompano dolphin schools under the boats, debris, or under floating seaweeds. It usually feeds on squid and small fish. It is not unusual to observe that pompano dolphin schools to follow the traveling debris or boats for many days.

Fishing Tips

Fishing is obviously a great fun for many of us. But it is important to have a good beforehand fishing knowledge before going for fishing. You have to keep some points in mind to have a good fishing experience.

Bait and Lures

It is a good idea to troll with natural bait. Like common dolphin, pompano dolphin also jumps at the bait. You can use feathers, white or yellow buck-tail jigs, or spoons as lures along with bait to entice the pompano dolphin.

Equipment

You may need trolling rod or spinning rod as major equipment for fishing, along with suitable hooks.

- For Trolling: You require a 6 to 8 foot medium action trolling accompanied by a traditional bait casting reed filled with 30 to 40 pound test mono filament line. You can also use Dacron line instead.

- For Spinning Tackle: Take a 6 to 7 foot medium action spinning rod accompanied by a matching spinning reel filled with 30 to 40 pound test mono filament line. For safety reasons, it is suggested to use a single hook in place of treble hooks. Take the treble hooks off from the rod carefully.

- Hook: Hook size is usually selected according to the size of the fish. For large fish, you can use large hooks and for small fish you can use small hooks. Hooks usually varies from 2/0 to 8/0 sizes.
